  1. The picture I will be commenting on is the one of the industrial double doors in an alcove with the single light above them. The brick wall takes up the majority of the frame, with the door slightly hidden from view, and off-center, adhering to the rule of thirds style of composition. The only source of light comes from a small bulb above the doors, giving the photo a very dark and mysterious feel. The photo is also framed by the other brick wall seen close-up, coming from the left.

The high contrast of light and dark, and the cold solidity of the brick walls and straight vertical lines give this photo a very ominous or even lonely feel. It gives the feel of an abandoned space, even though it probably isn't. This photo probably looks better in black and white than color, and it works with the overall mood. I like this photo, personally, and would make a good print to hang in a studio or office space.

  2. You seem to be interested in hard lighting and high contrast photos. Your last photo is one that I am very interested in because you take contrast to a new level, almost leaving the medium of photography and crossing into one that is more graphic. This is an interesting idea, but this approach requires paying special attention to aesthetic formalities such as line, shape, rule of thirds, etc.

  3. I like the use of lighting in your pictures and the way you capture space with it is really interesting. But after a while this concept could get repetitive, especially since all your spaces are kind of open rooms or areas.
